We left dry camp site #468 and are now on #29 with full hookups. We stay here for 2 weeks and then rotate back to dry and await our turn again. Its what folks here call 2nd row Rock Pile. We can see the water and its just one row over to sit on the shore. We're happy. Some pictures (click to make bigger):

Pleasantly surprised when Rocky and Genia, the owners of our base camp campground in Hickory, called from a local restaurant. We had a great time and some great mussels at the Hurricane Hole (LINK) on Stock Island.
(1 Feb) Tibby and the Vet
Tibby seems to be having urinary issues so we took her to the Vet. She was seen in Key West in 2011 when she was a tiny puppy. The staff at All Animal (LINK) were as fantastic as they were back then. Tibby loved them. She does have a UTI.
2-3 Feb VP Pence!
Excitement at Sigsbee this weekend because VP & Mrs Pence dropped in for a weekend of R&R LINK
Friday was the first sighting when they had dinner at the small lounge within walking distance of us. We didn't know it. Sat some folks in the park encountered them on a bike ride. Sun we almost went to the on base chapel but instead went to Mass in town and followed it up with a brunch. Guess who was at the Base Chapel. Folks said they were very cordial and approachable.
We never saw them even though they were in walking distance many times.
After Mass we went back to Pepe's for another delicious meal. Afterwards we walked around the "Bight" area.

cwe were called to the Vet to discuss what the first round of tests showed re Tibby. Bottom line is, more tests. We love this Vet.
Only reason to post today was mention the great lunch we had at Goldman's Deli LINK This is a real deal NYC type deli. Noisy, busy, amazing pastrami and bagels. Robin's chicken salad and soup was fantastic.

On 28 Feb Robin flew to Charlotte for the birth of Rowyn Tayte Cline (7 lbs, 3 oz; almost 20 inches long)
